How is the certification earned?

Great Place To Work® defines a great workplace as one where employees trust their managers, take pride in what they do and enjoy working with their colleagues. During certification, employees take part in an anonymous survey covering trust, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie. For a company to be certified, the survey results have to clear a set threshold. The certification isn't permanent; it is measured every year and has to be earned again.

Why does it matter to us?

An agency's most valuable asset is its team. When the people managing brands' budgets, setting up campaigns and interpreting results don't feel happy and secure, even the best strategy stays on paper. That's why we take measuring our working environment as seriously as measuring our campaigns.

Every year we read the survey results together as a team, trying to protect what we do well and fix the areas where we fall short.

Everyday life behind the certification

Open communication, approachable managers, flexible working, regular training and visibility for the work people do are all part of our everyday life. We celebrate success together and talk about mistakes without looking for someone to blame. We have mentoring and onboarding processes so that a new team member feels part of the team from day one.

This certification also laid the groundwork for us to make the Best Workplaces for Women and Best Workplaces for Young Talent lists in the same year and the years after.

How do we use the survey results?

When the results come in, the first thing we do is share them with the whole team, including both what's going well and the questions that scored low. We then set up small working groups for the low-scoring topics and gather suggestions from our team members. Our current flexible working arrangement, how the training budget is allocated and the onboarding process we built for newcomers all came out of this work. The following year's survey then becomes the measurement that shows whether these changes worked.
