Through the eyes of women employees

The Best Workplaces for Women list measures how fair, safe and open to growth a company is for its women employees. The assessment is based on surveys women employees fill in anonymously: whether they see equal opportunities, whether their voice is heard, whether they can progress in their careers and whether they can balance work and private life. That's why being on this list means feedback from our own team members.

What the announcement reminded us

The email we received on the day the list was announced included a paragraph along these lines: women at work still face disadvantages in areas such as equal pay, promotion, discriminatory policies and training opportunities, while the companies on this list perform far better than standard companies on fairness and equity. When we think about what women employees go through in Türkiye, being on this list is more than an achievement for us. Being here, and staying here, will always be our goal.

Teams led by women

At Ad Venture Digital, women lead many teams, from campaign management and data analysis to client relations and management. We see this not as a target but as the natural result of putting the right person in the right place. What decides promotions and responsibilities is the work done and the results delivered.

Flexible working and balance

Our flexible way of working lets team members plan their work around their lives. We make sure meetings and deadlines are reasonable and that out-of-hours communication stays the exception. It matters to us that team members who are parents can be present both at work and with their families.

These aren't policies that stay on paper; every year the surveys show us how our team members really feel, and we work together to fix the gaps.

Equal opportunity is a measurement

Just as we manage our campaigns with data, we try to track our working environment with data too. We look separately at survey results from women and men on the team to spot any gaps between them. If women on the team feel less heard in some area, we treat it not as a statistic but as something to talk through together. We take care to create a setting where everyone gets the floor in meetings, presentations and brand discussions.

Work in progress
